Find answers to common questions about platform limitations.
Understanding each platform's specific requirements and limits helps ensure successful posting.
If you hit platform limits, you'll receive specific error messages with guidance on how to resolve them. Plan your content schedule to stay within daily limits and compress large files when necessary.
YouTube has daily upload limits that vary by account type: typically 6-15 videos per day. Unverified accounts are limited to 15-minute videos, while verified accounts can upload up to 12-hour videos. Maximum file size is 256GB.
Instagram requires at least one image or video with every post. Stories can be text-only, but feed posts must include media. Maximum video length is 60 seconds for feed posts, 15 seconds for stories.
Twitter/X allows up to 280 characters per tweet. Images count as 25 characters each. Videos can be up to 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. Threads can be used for longer content.
Facebook posts can be up to 63,206 characters long. Videos can be up to 45 minutes long and 3GB in size. Images should be at least 1200x630 pixels for optimal display. Facebook Pages have additional features compared to personal profiles.
LinkedIn posts can be up to 3,000 characters. Professional content performs better. Videos can be up to 10 minutes long. LinkedIn favors business and professional content over personal posts.
Threads posts can be up to 500 characters. Images and videos are supported up to 1GB in size and 5 minutes duration. Threads is connected to Instagram accounts and shares similar media requirements.
Our platform supports files up to 50MB. However, each social media platform has its own limits: YouTube (256GB), Facebook (3GB), Instagram (1GB for Reels, 100MB for Feed), Twitter (512MB), LinkedIn (5GB), Pinterest (1GB), Threads (1GB).
Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok require media files because they are primarily visual platforms. Text-only posts are not supported on these platforms through their APIs.
If you exceed platform limits, you'll receive specific error messages explaining the limitation. For YouTube upload limits, you'll need to wait 24 hours. For file size limits, you'll need to compress or resize your media.
Plan your content schedule to stay within daily limits, compress large files before uploading, and use platform-specific best practices. Check our platform selector for real-time limit information.
